Joel has over 20 years building business systems of all kinds. He has been a partner at Solution Street since 2008. Before joining Solution Street he founded 2 startups DemandMart, a small business marketing tool and KeepUp, an online reminder service where he developed a passion for Ruby on Rails. Before that he was an Architect and Engineering Director at VeriSign. Joel loves all aspects of software development, including management, design, coding, debugging and testing. Joel has his B.S. & M.S. in Information Systems from George Mason University.
Jeff joined Solution Street as its first employee in 2003 and has been an integral part of the growth of the company for over 22 years. He has been a professional software developer for over 31 years, starting in the Telecommunications group at American Management Systems, continuing as a Senior Developer at FolioFN before beginning his time with Solution Street. Jeff has a B.S. in Engineering from Cornell University. With Solution Street, Jeff has worked on large, custom Web Frameworks (both J2EE/XML and Javascript), as well as consumer-facing productivity apps written in Ruby on Rails. In addition to solving clients' problems, Jeff has a passion for personal finance and an eerie ability to recall completely useless information from movies and TV shows.
Gregory Hodum brings over 28 years of experience as a software engineer, technical architect, and development leader. He has successfully designed and delivered complex software solutions across a wide range of industries, including finance, legal, cybersecurity, and national security supporting both commercial clients and government agencies.
Since joining Solution Street in 2012, Gregory has architected and delivered many cloud-native scalable applications using a broad set of technologies. His expertise includes Java/JEE, Ruby on Rails, .NET, and a variety of JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular. In recent years, Gregory has been expanding his focus to include Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, applying these technologies to solve client business problems and deepening his skills in this rapidly evolving domain.
Prior to Solution Street, Gregory served as Manager of Cybersecurity Development at Northrop Grumman and Senior Principal at American Management Systems (now CGI). Gregory grew up on Long Island, New York and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Outside of work, Gregory enjoys reading a good book, spending time in the garden, and working on improving his golf game.
Katie joined Solution Street as a Recruiting coordinator in 2011. Since then, she continued to take on additional responsibilities and now functions as both the HR Manager and Director of Finance. Katie started her career as a Documentation Specialist with American Management Systems (AMS - now CGI) before moving into a Developer role and then a Development Team Leader. She took time off to start her family before joining Solution Street. During that gap in employment she volunteered for a variety of organizations including Congregation Beth Emeth, Girl Scouts, Lees Corner PTA, Franklin Glen Swim Team, and the Franklin Glen Moms’ Co-Op. These days Katie enjoys baking (muffins are her specialty!) and riding her Peloton. Katie has a B.S. in Mathematics from Indiana University.
Prashant joined Solution Street as a Senior Developer in 2012. He has over 20 years of software development experience, and has contributed to projects using Java, .NET, Ruby and Python. Before joining Solution Street, Prashant worked as a Technical Lead on projects for the FAA and DC local government. Prashant grew up in Mumbai, India where he graduated with a BE in Computer Engineering and has a Masters in Computer Science from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Prashant enjoys hikes with his wife and dog, and is always looking to pick up a game of basketball, tennis or more recently, pickleball.
Arthur is the founder of Solution Street and has over 30 years of professional experience solving tough business problems. He started working with software development and personally selling custom built software as a teenager for the Radio Shack TRS-80 and the Commodore Vic-20 computers in Brooklyn, New York. Arthur has a B.S. in Computer Science from Binghamton University. His career has spanned the many changes in technology from large mainframe systems to PCs to client/server to web applications. Over the years he has worked with some of the largest and complex enterprise-wide systems for financial and telecommunications companies. Arthur was a Senior Principal for American Management Systems, Inc. (AMS - now CGI) and a Director of Software Engineering for FolioFn before starting Solution Street. Arthur enjoys a good problem to solve and tries to keep things simple.
